Ms. Rippy is a member of the Business Practice Group. She represents businesses in matters involving a broad range of corporate law issues including business formation and commercial transactions. She has participated in mergers and acquisitions, performing due diligence and negotiating ancillary documents.
Before joining Bodman, Ms. Rippy served as a judicial extern to Judge Jack Zouhary of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and to Judge Thomas Tucker of the United State Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Previously, she worked as an intern at Legal Aid of Western Ohio, as a summer clerk at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP, a law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, and as a junior funder at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
In law school at the University of Toledo, she was a member of the Black Law Students Association and the Public Interest Law Association. She was on the Dean’s List and earned the honor of Highest Ranking Student in several areas of the law.
As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina, Ms. Rippy worked with the UNC Center for Civil Rights, where, among other accomplishments, she coordinated a national conference, “The Unfinished Work: Advancing New Strategies in the Struggle for Civil Rights.”
