By: Bodman PLC

03/20/15

Bodman PLC attorney Donovan S. Asmar has been named to the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) Class of 2015.

MPLP is a 10-month training session provided through Michigan State University’s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research. The program was founded to offer specialized training opportunities for public service professionals from varying political backgrounds ranging from political volunteers to members of Congress.

Selected participants include attorneys, business executives, bankers, marketers, and legislative aides from around Michigan. The participants will meet in Lansing, Detroit, and Grand Rapids to work alongside economists, budget experts, media representatives, and business leaders. Nearly half of MPLP’s approximately 600 graduates have served or are serving in elected or appointed positions.

Asmar is a member of Bodman’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He represents clients involved in complex commercial litigation matters. Before joining Bodman he served as a clerk for Justice Mary Beth Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court. Asmar is a graduate of the University of Michigan and University of Notre Dame Law School.
